Need a Custom Metal Sign for Your School?
From private and independent schools to daycares, academies, and universities, Alabama Metal Art creates custom metal and layered signs that turn your logo into a lasting statement of your school’s identity and values.
Alabama Metal Art designed and fabricated a custom layered metal sign for The Willowstone School in Malvern, PA. The sign showcases the school’s signature tree logo on the left, with THE WILLOWSTONE SCHOOL set in an elegant serif typeface to the right, all precision cut from a single brushed steel face panel.
Installed in the school’s entry area beside a hand-sculpted tree display, the sign creates a warm, nature-inspired welcome for students, families, and visitors, reflecting the growth and grounding the Willowstone name brings to mind.

Laser-Cut Steel with Layered Color
The tree logo and lettering were laser cut through the steel face, then backed with colored layers to bring the design to life. Deep green panels show through each cut-out leaf, while a dark backer fills the trunk, branches, and lettering for crisp contrast against the brushed metal finish. The layered construction adds real depth and dimension that a flat printed sign can’t match, catching light differently as visitors move through the space.
The finished piece was mounted with stainless steel standoffs around the perimeter, holding the panel slightly off the wall for a clean, floating look and a durable, professional installation.
